Which specialities?

I've completed 3 out of the 5 specialties needed for my Master Scuba Diver qualification. I've done Project Aware, Nitrox and Underwater Digital Photography. I'm not sure which to do next.

What specialties have you completed that were both enjoyable and beneficial to your diving development?

I will be diving in the Coron area, Palawan, Philippines in August and I'd like to have a few dives in Apo Reef. Are there any budget accommodation options in the island of Busuanga that would allow me to go on an affordable 1-day diving tour to the Reef?

Whale sharks in Cenderawashi Bay

I want to plan a dive trip to Indonesia that will include diving in Cenderawashi. Some of the reports that I read on experiences with land based Ahe dive resort do not leave me assured that this is a reliable operation. I have had difficulty finding live aboard operators that include dives at sites with whale sharks in Cenderawashi. Can anyone recommend a reputable dive operation to consider for this trip and experience?

Fun things to do on a pit dive

I'll be going to dive in a pit (pool) tomorrow. It's 20m/65ft depth and boring as hell. I've only got some gear to test which will keep me busy for 10 minutes tops.

Any hints on what could be fun to do during the remaining 40 mins ?

I was thinking at chess playing (got a small magnetic board), maybe try a Frisbee ?

Any idea?

Komodo liveaboard

Hi there everybody.I'm planning a one week liveaboard in Komodo for next August/September. I've been fishing around in the web and seems there are some reliable dive shops offering interesting packages but I'm somehow reluctant to close a deal without actually seeing the boat/crew/general condition of equipment etc. Considering I'll be getting to Labuan Bajo by August 30th 2013, does anybody know if It would be ok to show up without reserving online? Would I get stuck/forced to use sketchy operators services or would it be possible to jump into a nice boat without much delay? Is it really a must to close a deal and pay online in advance or can I take my chances, show up and still have a...
